Our visions

Say hello to emotions. Give the wounded mind a hug. We walk with people with mental distress to help them live a healthy, joyful and hopeful life and build a mentally healthy city.

Our services

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), depression will be the second most significant health condition after heart disease in the world by the year 2020. In view of this, we have started with the different needs of life stages in mind to help people with emotional distress recover by connecting personal edges, family and community resources; to have cross-multidisciplinary collaborations to assist the patients in living a positive and healthy life; and to enhance public understanding in mental health.

To address the growing numbers of children and adolescents with emotional distress, we adopt an early identification and intervention approach to encourage a caring culture at schools to help students build a positive perspective and embrace challenges in life.

Our works

‘Mental Wellness School Charter for Children and Adolescent in Hong Kong’ programme

The programme ‘Mental Wellness School Charter for Children and Adolescent in Hong Kong’ will focus on three areas. Firstly, we will launch a comprehensive mental health education programme for students to strengthen their resilience and sense of seeking early assistance as well as building a strong mind, body and soul.

Meanwhile, we will partner with the School of Nursing of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University to co-organise the ‘Mental Health Inspectors’ training programme for teachers. After a series of professional training on mental health, participating teachers will become ‘goalkeepers’ of their respective schools to timely identify students’ potential mental illness and provide necessary assistance. Mental health courses will also be offered to parents enabling them to discover their children’s emotional problems in time as well as parenting skills to achieve a speedy recovery.

A closing ceremony of the programme will be held in October 2017 to commend participating schools for their efforts in supporting student mental health programme and a caring school culture. ‘Good Spirit’ day will also be held the same day to raise public awareness of student mental health.
